Sometimes we can over do it with styling and processing that we often neglect to retain moisture, keeping our Locs looking healthy and full. Below we've came up with three tips on how to keep your locs fresh and vibrant.

1) Use a Silk Scarf

- Using a silk scarf can lessen the damage and keep debris from sticking to your locs. We'll get a style we like, wrap it up for the first couple of days until we get tired of it being a part of our nightly routine and then we go rogue. Taking on full risk of damage and breakage. Wear the damn scarf. Not just for the 'New Style' but for your overall Hair Health.

2) Wash your Locs

- When you first started your locs you heard "Don't wash them for however long months" and that it will help them loc faster. WRONGGG! Not washing your hair will cause unnecessary odor and debris. Your hair will not loc faster because it's dirty... Honestly, a wash and retwist will do the trick of "loc'ing them faster"  However, the timeline to be fully Loc'd depends on your hair type and texture. 

3) Moisture Moisture Moisture!

- The most important one of all is MOISTURE! Find a good Spray-on Leave In Conditioner or a thick oil close to a serum texture. My monthly favorite is 'It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner Spray' - It's a spray but with a thick and creamy texture, adds and seals in moisture and repair damage. Expensive AF though, however you really get what you pay for.

Remember growing locs is a journey not a race. If you ask people who has long, thick natural locs, "What's the secret?" They probably tell you " I don't use anything.." or "I was using blah blah oil". The secret is: Less is more when it comes to daily product use. Find a good one and stick to it. Wrap it up at night. [All puns intended.] And wash your hair!!
